So, uh.

Mayako and Jun have told me that there is--or was, by the sounds of it--another "me" out there.

How does that work exactly? And...could it affect my current memories?

Alright, it works like this.

There's an infinite amount of different versions of Earth--some vastly different, some only minimally different. You live a different life on each one accordingly. The other you out there is you--only in a different time, a different place.

And yes, your memories can be affected. If you meet a bunch of different people that different versions of "you" knew on several different Earths, it triggers a subconscious response. You gain bits and pieces of memories of the "you" that they knew.
