[ There's the sounds of light, but harsh breathing coming through the D-Comm followed by what appears to be a female voice. ]

I... I made it back here, didn't I? After all these years...

[ A small chuckle comes out and she takes a breather against a side of a house. ]

I wonder... how they are doing. I would love to see them again.

Mm... Let's go, Reiko.

[ The video function turns on with the audio and who is speaking? None other than Hoshi, but she looks to be grown up and worse for wear. Her hair, usually taken care of, is hanging in a messy fashion and the kimono she's wearing is unkempt. ]

"Hoshi-dono, I must advise you, please rest. You are still not well yet, or have yet recovered from the--"

I know, Reiko... I know. I just want to get there. I want to see...

"Then, save your strength! Please, you must not be so reckless, even after everything you have gone through!"

I...

[ What more she says is cut off by a thump, followed by what appears to be a name out of her mouth. Then, she finally collapses with Reiko looking rather fretful. ]

"Hoshi-dono!"

[ Anyone want to come find her? ]

( OOC: Hoshi has come back from her time skip, is now age 25, and is in Asuka. She's very exhausted, has some wounds that haven't closed up yet as well as wrappings on her body. All in all, she's gonna be really exhausted for a while. )

H-Hoshi?! Hoshi is that really...

Ryuunosuke-sama, I'd advise you- I see you're already gone...

[ Yep, it's her. She might not look the same seventeen year old that she used to be, but she's still the same Hoshi.

Just don't mind that she's currently unconscious and trying to will herself to get back up on her feet. ]

"R-Ryuunosuke-dono? Is that you?"

Ryuunosuke-sama is already on his way.

"All right, thank you, V-Mon-san."

[ No matter how much she tries to get up, her body absolutely refuses to move even an inch. All she knows is that help's coming and she likes that. Help... It's been a while since she's been helped.

Eventually, she tries to relax against the ground, but her entire body is screaming in pain. ]

...N-Nngh...

[ When Ryuunosuke arrives, she looks worse off in person than she does over the network. Her kimono's messy and not taken care of properly, she has a few bandages on her face and her hands. The wrappings are all on her torso with some of them being visible. It looks like she's been through a war, too. ]

"Do not worry, Hoshi-dono. Help is on the way." [ Reiko wishes she's more optimistic than she sounds right now. ]

[Ryuunosuke arrives and is in utter shock. He's scared to even touch her at this point, but he knows that it has to be done.]

Hoshi... Oh god Hoshi...

[Ryuunosuke goes over to her and kneels down beside her, slowly and carefully rolling her over, gently lifting her onto his knees.]

Oh Hoshi, what have you gotten yourself into now...

[ A familiar voice... It has to be Ryuunosuke. That warmth is very much appreciated. She coughs a bit, it sounding strangled, like her throat's dry. Her eyes open a bit, too. ]

R-Ryuunosuke...?

[Ryuunosuke gives a small smile as he gazes at her. His eyes are slightly saddened at her state, but he's happy to see her again. It had been so many months since the last time he'd seen her.]

Yes. It's me.

[ Give her a moment, Ryuunosuke. Hoshi decides to tear up a bit from either relief or regret. ]

I... I'm so sorry...

Shh... You can apologize once we get you to the hospital. The inn is too far and you need medical attention...

[ Soon, her cries are stopped. ]

... W-Will you come with me?

[Ryuunosuke nods quietly, carefully picking her up. Sure he knows it's against doctor's orders, but this is an emergency.]

Yes... I'm taking you myself.

[ Her head rests against his chest, her eyes closed. She then smiles a bit, feeling comforted by him. She definitely misses this type of comfort greatly. ]

T-Thank you... I love you, Ryuunosuke.

I love you too, Hoshi.

[Ryuunosuke gently and carefully carried her to the Asuka Hospital, praying it wasn't far. He knew she needed to get looked over, so he would take her no matter what.]

...how is it possible something can be so surprising and so predictable at the same time?

I'm surprised that she's back today, because...well frankly how could we guess when she'd be back? But I'm not the least bit surprised she's in need of medical attention. No matter how old that girl gets she's a walking advertisement for hospitals.

I shall prepare her customary "Get well soon" Basket.

"She was surprisingly good about not being a walking advertisement for a hospital back home, if you can believe that, Jinx-dono."

I'm having a lot of trouble believing that I'll be honest with you.

Somehow I think you'll get over it one way or another.

"The condensed version is that Hoshi-dono fought and competed in the Shaman Fight, then went back home and became the lord of her family, followed by trying to change humanity for the greater good."

Well that's all well and good I suppose. And just how much more power does our little meat shield have now?

"A great deal."

Oh good...not that that changes much in the grand scheme of things. We're still stuck in a never ending war. But it's nice to know.

"I do think that due to the events I am not at liberty to discuss, she will not be up to fighting a war for some time. I am sure that once she is comfortable discussing why, it will be clear."
